The ten national and international winners of the Heineken Prizes 2020 received their awards. On Thursday 1 October, during a live online broadcast from the Trippenhuis in Amsterdam,  Charlene de Carvalho-Heineken and KNAW president Ineke Sluiter presented the prizes. The presentation of the ceremony was in the hands of Thomas Erdbrink. It is the first time that the Netherlands’ largest international prizes for science and art have been awarded this way.
